Default Had kidney removed

Well on Monday I went in to Methodist downtown Houston and had my left kidney removed. Dr was hoping to half of kidneybut it was just not possible.feels like I have been gut shot with 00 buck out of a 12ga. Gas pain was hell since it was done robticly could not have made it without my strong and loving wife.

Had my Rt Kidney removed 3 years ago. First 2 weeks are hell. But got to get up and start moving. Start drinking water the more the better. I believe I was drinking around 80 ounces of water, tea and some coffee. No more Salt low sodium. It will take awhile, then you get used to no sodium and you will be amazed at some foods you eat that are full of salt.

Following back up on this thread, I am amazed at the number of people that had this done or know someone close to them that had this done.

Sounds like the OP will be better off without it.

Hopefully you are doing well today.
