Diesel fuel filter change, tips or tricks?

Even with a funnel, drain tube and catch pan along with some paper towels I still seem to get the “diesel shower” from changing my fuel filter on my Ecodiesel it’s directly above the drive shaft near the rear axle.

Same with mine. I’m so fed up with it I’m going back to Ford after this one, way easier to change and filters are cheaper

Put a fuel water separator on it & drain before changing

Put an appropriate size clear plastic bag around filter before removing. Unscrew the filter and be ready to catch it when it’s almost off.

The bag catches all the diesel, and the filter too.
