    Back porch ceiling fans

We need a better ceiling fan for our back porch. Want BigAss Fan style and output but not the price.

Who has experience with other brands in this style fan?

I use these and they will blow your hat off.
I have five and told my wife to never turn them on all at once or the house would be hovering. [emoji51]

Yep, five of those equals one CH-47 Chinook helicopter.

This. We have 2 of them (72” & 96”) and they will move some air.

There is a minimum mounting height on them so be aware. Our 96” is mounted at about 8’ and it doesn’t feel like it moves near as much air as the 72” that’s mounted at 14’.

Whatever you decide to get make sure you don’t get the wood (sawdust) or “polymer” blades or they will be dropping badly in the first summer. The Craftmade Collosus has aluminum blades.

                  8 Ft. Colossus

Moves a lot of air. I also have 2 misting fans on a high pressure pump that work wonders and cool the area down significantly.

We have two of these in our outdoor kitchen back porch area and they work great. New custom build only been in the house for 8 months no complaints on these fans. 800 square feet covered outside and the fans make it really nice! Good Luck in your search.

Just bought a 60” on sale on their site. Beat Lowe’s price by $80.00…..

I don't have experience with all of these, but the last time I had a client try to save money we researched and bought the highest cfm outdoor rated fan that was not a big *** fan. They were $700 each. They have since been replaced with big *** fans.

Hard to compete with big *** fans without paying the big *** money. I knew that when I bought the Colossus so it was a compromise I settled for mentally in advance
