Losing your Lease

Wow. Protein all year and see those deer you are leaving hurts me
But you have to remember the great times and look ahead
My dad and I moved from lease to lease for years looking for a decent one.
Lots of hard work moving too.
But the last lease my buddy and I lost caused us to find a perfect lease for 20+ years now.
I would talk to the new owners.
Good luck and stay positive.

We got run off our lease last year. Very awesome place down in STX. I believe we got in the crossfire between the the guy who runs the ranch, and our pasture boss. It was pretty devastating. We didn't shoot but one trophy on 7500 acres last year. We let several deer walk that would have been lifetime deer for most the guys on the lease. As soon as the season ended, we were told we had 90 days to remove our stuff. It was far worse than a little high school break up! BUT we did land on a new place that seems to be awesome thus far. We'll find out in a few months I suppose. But it'll still be hard to swallow loosing that place, and knowing someone else is going to shoot all those deer we passed up.

Nope and the good part is we are going to get our down payment back that we already put down for the year just sucks all the protein. Money gone to waste. But hey the neighbors will be happy. They should see some good bucks this year especially after all our feeders are gone .
