I just finished this book the other day, and I have to say it's one of the best books I've read this year. Have any of you read it? If not, I would highly recommend it.

That's an excellent book.....
If you enjoyed that, read this one.
The Comanches: Lords of the South Plains (The Civilization of the American Indian Series)
by Ernest Wallace et al.
A scholarly book written by ethnologists in the early thirties I believe. VERY readable and full of information on the day to day life of the Comanches.
T.R. Fehrenbach's book is also great: Comanches-History of a People
And if you want to read some interesting accounts of Comanche attacks along the Brazos, read Goodbye to A River by John Graves......If you're a Texan, just read it anyway. It shouldn't be missed.
