Who can ID this??

In almost every deer I have processed, I find these grey, oval shaped “things.”
They are always in the fat, or connective tissue outside of the muscle or meat, so always get cut out .They are not in the muscle. I am pretty sure they are not lymph nodes, those you do find inside the muscle.

My guess would be some kind of cyst or something along those lines.

I think they are glands...I’ve always been told to make sure you get them out because if they get mixed in they can ruin the meat. I think they are full of some tant stuff!

lymphnodes or however you spell it. All infections drain to them. Get rid of em.

I think a long time ago they were called kernels. Way to long ago for me to remember. Cut out and throw away.

Yes, usually it is just one per deer, maybe 2 at the most.

I thought the lymph nodes ran through the muscles, inside of them? And the lymphatic system runs throughout the body, I only find one or 2 of these critters??
Not saying they cant have something to do with Lymph node..
