    Elk Muzzleloader Bullets

I’ve got a tag for muzzleloader in CO this fall. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations/experience with 50 cal non-sabot bullets for elk. We took one down last year with a power belt, but I want to make sure I’m using the best out there!

    Thanks.

I have used Thor bullets. Did a fair amount of research a few years ago prior to a muzzleloader elk hunt and settled on them. Shot well, but no experience with terminal performance as I did not get a chance to use them on game.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Thor.

It seems like every bullet I research they’re either the best or the worst according to everyone! It’s hard to wade through the info and figure out what’s what!

      Thanks for the info!

I still use 300gr Lead Buffalo. Whatever it hits, falls.
