        Yes sir broken toes.

        This is the "worse" picture.
Showed it to the Dr on my 1st visit to him. He asked if he could share it with some of his surgical interns. I consented. He says it shows Compartment Syndrome.
Compartment syndrome is a condition in which increased pressure within one of the body's anatomical compartments results in insufficient blood supply to tissue within that space.
Without blood tissue and muscle die.

In a walking boot for now.
Drs waiting for the swelling to subside and wounds to heal.
He told me next week he'll likely get an X-Ray and than manipulate them to see if the tendons are damaged. I can't honestly say I'm looking forward to latter..

He also told me last week that bones need 3 things to heal without surgical intervention.
              1) Stability - He can provide that
              2) Blood Flow
              3) Bones in close proximity to each other.
He's not sure on 2 & 3. He thinks I've had compartment syndrome and he's not sure if and how much the blood flow has been compromised. The 1st bone in my big toe is in 5-7 pieces.

Compartment syndrome is a rough one. Had they known that up front they would’ve done a fasciotomy and sliced deep into the fascia to relieve the pressure. Hoping nothing is necrotic and they can make everything right again once the swelling goes down. Big toe is a comminuted fx and needs some internal fixation (plate, screws, etc). 2nd and 3rd still lined up well enough not to mess with in my opinion (or possible pin through both of them to hold alignment) They’ll probably heal on their own if they stay where they are on X-ray. May be a tough road back but just comply with your doctor at all costs and you’ll get back to normal. Non-compliance is #1 factor for a fx not healing and/or revisions having to be done. Wish you the best of luck! (12yrs Ortho Trauma Consultant. Seen every fx known to man and was there to fix em all too)

Looks like a bad case of Tolio to me. Shouldn’t be nothing you can’t handle with your past history of the Kneesils and smallcox.

I go tomorrow for my 3rd Drs appt.

Last week he said he'll get new X Ray's & likely manipulate the toes to check the tendons. Sounds painful to me...

                              Took this picture yesterday.
Looks bad but lots better than it used to
Saturday I pulled the dead skin off

Well I tried posting the picture. It didn't post.

I have AT&T, there's a tower down in the area. Had none to limited cell service for the past 5 days......
