Role call! Who's gonna be at the 1st annual Colorado County Memorial Day Regatta? Bring your kayaks and canoes. We're gonna meet May 28th, at the hwy 71 north river bridge boat ramp, in Columbus, at 8am. Float to Beasons park. It's about 7 miles, takes roughly 3.5horus, depending on flow rate and number of breaks we take! It's a fun float. Itll be even more fun if YOU can make it!

Sounds fun, we used to put in at Oshlagers in Mullins Prairie ( with tubes ) & float down to County lane near Holeman back in High school. Spent a many a day on that river.

The 5 or 6 times I’ve floated this part of the river, I have never have to drag the kayak. Floated the entire 7 miles. The float rate looks about normal.

Gonna be a fun time! Don’t miss out! I plan on takin my black stone and ol Smokey. Gonna burn some sausage and burgers when we get to beacons. Probably gonna drink one or seven barley pops.

We use to do this float. Cooks owned the ranch on the final turn at Cummings Creek. We would BBQ and had a rope swing. If there is any kind of a south wind, that last stretch is a workout. Have fun. I think we will be in Fredericksburg at the Crawfish festival

The last stretch is about a 30 minute work out. Then you make the curve and it eases up. if my fat @$$ can get thru it, it aint that bad
