I have the tongs with a blue metal tube, they work great. All the cables are inside the handle tube.
Tongs work well to gently grab the snake , not just a hook to carry it.
Used to be a guy in South Texas making this same kind of tongs but I can not find hos contact info.

Get at least 50 inch tongs.
