We're well into 3D season, so let's simulate a 3D shot, with the slight twist of requiring a heart shot for the top score.

Target: (see sample below) on an 8.5x11 inch piece of paper. roughly hand-draw an oval shape about 8 inches wide and 6 inches high. Inside that toward the bottom left part draw a rough circle about 3 inches in diameter. Finally, use a quarter to trace a circle In the bottom left part of the circle, and put a dot in center of that circle.

Challenge: shoot the first shot of a day from 12 yards (6 for kids), using any stance, for the highest point value. Best single day score wins next week's call. Up to 4 days' tries allowed (but not required).

Scoring: on the paper but outside the large oval is 5 points; the large oval is good for 8 points; 3-inch circle is 10 points; quarter circle is 12 points. Touching line (or paper edge) scores higher value. Off paper is zero. Measure nearest part of shaft to center of dot in the "12" ring for tie-breaker.

Occurs to me in looking at this target -- and with the pros playing golf in Austin-- you might call this a "sucker pin" placement in golf. A little off and you're in the water, if you go for it. Ha ha.

At this point, I'm going to Call Reb the Winner, due to no one being able to post before he already has to even tie. And he would win the early-time tie-breaker. Therefore, if Reb wants to go ahead and post the next challenge now, that would be fine with me and give everyone an extra weekend day to shoot next week's challenge.

Congrats to Reb on probably the single best shot of the FSC year so far!

Edit: I should also add that Rick shot probably the best group of the year so far this week. Way to go, Rick!
