Well that's different. My dad's house a year ago and my daughter's house last week were in line with the claim I received. We're in Round Rock and three different carriers. I wonder why the big difference.

Client base. Most in that area will pay it. Most in the other area won’t or will do it themselves. That’s honestly the reason

You know why land is selling at 300x value…. Cause the California migrant thinks it’s a steal…. Same thing different item

I build showers. My $5k shower is $20k there. They never bat an eye

When an area is noted at “x” income and “y” home value….. they will pay. And if you loose a few jobs with price your ahead still and didn’t work to death. No reason for everyone to be poor. Lol

Geez… maybe I need to go back to selling and managing roofing projects. Divide by x, carry the 1, yep that’s good commissions!

I always tape the receipt to a new water heater when installing it. Last week I had to replace mine and in 2009 I gave $210 for a new 40 gallon electric. I had to pay $549 for the new one. I’m worried what the world will be like for my Grand Kids.

I wonder how any of today's babies will be able to afford anything in another 20 years at the current rate.

It’s crazy man. I’m in the roofing business and it’s not uncommon for people to have mini heart attacks when they see their claim summary come in from insurance. Prices have gone up and so have insurance payouts. The hard part is explaining to homeowners that no matter what insurance pays they’re out the same amount which is their deductible.

I did my own the first two times. At 58 years old I won't again. Thank goodness for good home owners insurance.

Replacement cost when I had it replaced in 2004 was $ 8700. Plum crazy to me. I put the first roof on when I built the house and I guess I'll put this one on too.
They've gone up over 25% this year alone.

I'm in insurance and building a house right now, flipping one as well.

I bought what I knew I needed in January before the increases.

                    Its wild man.

I hear you. What kind of house will they be able to afford? We can't afford to build the house we just built 8 years ago. And we make a pretty good living. This inflation crap is going to kill the economy and the incentive of young people just getting into the workforce. It will be much easier to sell socialism/communism to young folks who can't even afford to rent an apartment.

Crazy for sure. And I get questioned everyday why did my rates go up I didn’t have any claims?

bermise this is an incorrect statement..

So if your homeowners looks at your roof and cuts you a check for 10k damage, and you find a guy to do it or 7k then you are an ins fraud???
fyi you dont have to refund the 3k you can spend on whatever you want

im sorry if that statement was misunderstood

10% materials increase across the board on April 11th.
Nobody wins except the insurance companies…
