6 more lawsuits coming, from what I heard on the radio yesterday. Maybe even more by now.
No matter whether he's guilty or not, he's in a serious jam, and Houston won't be trading him anytime soon.

He was guilty of something for sure, might want to check with his wife on that one

Watson, who knows. Like most things, the truth is most likely somewhere in the middle.

I heard one of the more seasoned Houston sports commentators say they've never seen a professional sports organization more screwed up than the Texans.

That was before any of this.

Lol, innocent until proven guilty. You have no idea who sent texts, if they are real, whose phone they were on, nothing. A lawyer can indict a slice of bread. Let the process play out

Kobe cheating on his wife in not my business.

Did he rape the hotel maid? Evidence says no. And the court, the judge, and the "victim" agreed it wasn't rape by taking a settlement.

And just so we are 100% clear. I have no opinion on DW either way. The little evidence presented so far doesn't look good. If he raped women, he deserves to pay big time. However, I am not interested in destroying a man's career over allegations. Let the evidence speak.

I heard this yesterday. I'm not going to jump to conclusions until the evidence comes out. Both sides are well represented. Rusty Hardin is Watson's lawyer. He is well known in Houston as he represented Roger Clemens, Adrian Peterson, Warren Moon amongst others. There are multiple accusers so this sounds bad regardless; even it he gets off, it sure makes him look like a sleazeball.

I thought the Texans hit rock bottom a few weeks ago. Rumors were that Houston was being patient and waiting for the draft to get a bit closer as teams become more desperate and often anti up on trade offerings. The trading of Watson, although publicly being denied was most definitely a possibility. Now, this situation is like a cruise missile to a trade possibility. What team in their right mind would make a solid offer for a QB going through this mess; especially considering the cultural situation we are in right now.

Only a fool would believe there is no merit to these lawsuits. Why would this jerk go to some storefront massage shop when he gets unlimited, professional sports massages anytime he wants? The professional sports massage will even come to his home.

Just watched Tony Buzbee’s press conference on Fox 26. Cases filed is now up to 12, and supposedly 22 complainants now. Even if 1/4 of the complaints are justified, DW is done for.

He will be provided a professional massage with outsource. Those dont come with a happy ending. So i would agree with Sabine on this one. It does mot take much of a detective to realize that clue that he was not ordering a massage for medical reasons..

But- the folks he was calling for these “massage sessions” probably show up in a Swedish Nurse outfit in knee high boots. Then realize maybe there is some money in it now and cry victim

this^^^^^ rusty Hardin has represented and won favorable verdicts for athletes such as Rudy Tomjanovich,[4] Warren Moon,[5] Wade Boggs,[6] Rafer Alston,[7] Scottie Pippen,[8] Steve Francis,[9] and Calvin Murphy.[10] Another former client is Roger Clemens,[1] who had been embroiled in accusations of having perjured himself before Congress over alleged steroid use. Clemens was acquitted on June 18, 2012, on all charges that he obstructed justice and lied to Congress when he denied using performance-enhancing drugs as a Major League Baseball pitcher.[11] Other clients include Michael Bennett[12] of the New England Patriots; Adrian Peterson, accused of child abuse[13] and NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, who was accused of domestic abuse against his former girlfriend.[14][15]

Hardin successfully represented Victoria Osteen, wife of TV evangelist and bestselling author Joel Osteen, in a civil lawsuit filed by a Continental Airlines flight attendant. The flight attendant claimed that she had been pushed by Osteen, and sought civil damages, but a Houston, TX jury acquitted her in 2008.[16] Hardin also won a favorable verdict for his client the estate of Texas millionaire J. Howard Marshall. A jury found that the estate owed nothing to Marshall's widow, former Playboy bunny and stripper Anna Nicole Smith, who married Marshall when he was 89 years old.[1]

Sorry. Taking a settlement in a civil suit does not prove it was not rape. A civil case and a criminal case have almost nothing in common, different levels of proof required. All it means is that they wanted some money.

I was on the jury of a trial where the plaintiff was represented by Rusty's firm.

7 days I'll never forget- Priscilla Slade running TSU vs. her campus police chief (or whatever his title was) after she fired him for calling the real police for on campus theft.

Watching Rusty's firm play the room/ jury was (almost) worth my time driving back & forth to downtown Houston.

That was around a decade ago or better, I wonder if he's retained his sharpness.

As far as this Watson case- I don't think Rusty would have taken the case if it wasn't winnable for his side.

This is why you have legal documents signed of consent etc before engaging with women sexually when you are a high profile rich guy. This can help protect your innocence if innocent...

I haven't read all the allegations but it sounds like several women and they each only had 1 encounter ?
If that is the case then it speaks more towards the truth for the women.
If some had multiple encounters then I am suspect of those. You would not go back if it really bothered you, no matter the money he offered.

I also hear they are not asking for a large financial settlement ?

He does get his day in court, and Kobe later admitted the young gal did not feel the same way about their encounter as he did and he apologized to her.
