Educate me on moving a house!

We bought some adjoining acres a month or so ago that came with this house. Up until November it was occupied. It’s about 1,000 sg. ft. Looks rough, but is actually solid. Anyway, we are trying to decide what to do with it. One option is to find someone who moves houses. Is anybody on the green screen familiar with moving houses and how this works? Do movers buy these houses or do they expect to take them for free or do they expect to be paid to remove?? I have heard all of the above and figure I would see what the experts on TBH say.

Put metal roof on top of the existing roof, quick paint job
Rip our some walls and make it a man cave storage building
Maybe move it to a piece of the property

Good suggestion, but we have a house on the property already. This could be fixed up and used no doubt... we just don’t want to sink time and money into it.

I had a house moving company come and get one very similar to yours. I offered it for free and they came and got it.

There is a dude in Brownwood who moves houses. I think his last name is King

I would advertise it for $1000 and new owners to have it removed at their expense... or even auction it off... and them still pay to remove.

It took them two days to get it gone. First day they dug under it and placed steel beams then raised the house. Next day they loaded it up and drove off with it.

We have the same problem and it will cost us $6,500 to have it moved up to 50 miles. We are giving it to our son and he's looking for a lot to put it on.
