    Pie recipe

Here is a recipe my Grandmother use to fix for everybody at her house for Sunday lunch. All the kids loved it but get ready for a sugar high from them. Has been passed from generation to generation in my family. She always called it Jeff Davis pie. Don't know why. Wife is a diabetic so have not had it for years. Her hand writing on the recipe.

No. She got sick in 1987 and passed away in 1988. I just remember eating it back in the late 50's and 60's. Thats how old I am.

Not sure on the name, there was a prominent rancher in Sterling County named Jeff Davis. I always assumed it was named after him. ??

Looks great similar to buttermilk pie or chess pie (made with a little cornmeal instead of flour), all old school classics. Gotta love the family history that goes along with it.
