Food plot, Security cover percentage ?

What would be the correct food plot and security cover percent on any given property?

I've been reading 3-7% for food plots.. Also read just a minute ago about some using 50% for sanctuary..

5-8% of your total acerage is plenty

I try to achieve a min 3% in food plots and 8%-10% cover not entered. This is East Texas.
