I had just left my place after feeding cattle, and saw deer running through the pasture to my right. A couple more crossed the road in front of me. This eight was hooking it, and I could tell he was bound and determined to go with the deer that has already crossed the road. I slowed down, but he didn’t. He was running hard, and when he hit the ground after jumping the fence, his left antler came loose. I watched it tumble through the ditch, then looked back to see if the other antler might fall when he jumped the second fence. Instead of jumping, he was running down the ditch, but he no longer had either antler. Easiest recovery of matching sheds I’ve ever had! Haha
