I don't have the Mathews FX that I posted about at the beginning of this thread. I do have a Mathews SBXT that I have hunted with for many years. Just picked up an Obsession Sniper SS a few months back that I am looking forward to hunting with.

I don't have a clue how old it is, but I kinda like it, and I think it's cool that it's a 3rd generation TBH bow!
Two years after posting this, in August 2010 I bought a Swtchback XT from DamonJ, who delivered it on the WWA hunt in Mercedes that year. I bought a 29" cam for it from raiderelkhunter. I've owned two newer bows since then (a High Country and a Mathews Monster) but never hunted with either, and gave them away last year to Jim's (keep's) son Wyatt. I still hunt with the Switchback XT and don't see a reason to "upgrade" to anything newer.

                  A 2014 elite energy 35 and as of this week a 2017-2018 option 7.

Not too old but still able to buy on the cheap.

When I put this bow on the draw scale, it would only max out at 46-48lbs, despite what the limb markers said.

Killed my first whitetail with this bow. I used a Bear Grizzly recurve before this after I moved back to Texas. And never did kill any deer with it. But lots of other critters died from it. I had a really old weak crossbow with metal limbs in Ohio. Think it was a 80lb draw weight. And shot heavy heavy bolts with the heads glued to the shaft.Click image for larger version

No longer have the 2001 Q2 that I mentioned on the first page, it went to a son-in-law who became an ex son-in-law....... Have gone through several other bows, dropping draw weight into the high 50's, and now to a cross bow since my shoulders started giving me problems. But, the xbow is an Excalibur, so I guess you could say I went trad (sort of)!

Apologies to the actual trad shooters on the GS....

Im still shooting my 2011 Z7 extreme and I love it, super confident and lighter than most new bows.

Not sure when my Bob Lee was made, but I've had it for 10 years.
