Looks a little far back to me

Quartering slight towards the shooter, arrow slightly back, but should be a dead deer fairly quickly, but did it move any before the arrow hit him?

Slightly quartering to you and a pinch back, but should do the trick most of the time.

Edit, looking again. I don’t even think it’s a pinch back, prob right where it needs to be.

Possibly a little far back with the slight angle. Would think it should get the job done. What was his reactions to the hit? Mule kick, should be dead. Hunched back gut shot give it time.

For sure back to far, I would say if you recovered that deer you got lucky. Probably on the edge of either going through the thoracic cavity , or the out side the diafram, front side of guts, would be my guess. Just depends on what got cut going thorough.
