Why are you wanting to walk out on the ice?

This is one and only chance to reenact his favorite scene from Frozen.

Mostly because I have distinct fun memories of ice walking on one of the family stock tanks one time when I was a kid in central Texas. It was very unusual circumstances that it would freeze enough to walk on.

Given the opportunity, I'd like my kids to have the same chance. So unusual for it to get below freezing 5 days in a row with some below zero, seems like a good chance.

Get a drill to measure how thick. 4" minimum.

We did it too, way back when. But that was about 135 lbs. ago!

Might tie a rope around the young un if he wants to tho!

I am not an ice expert but I can tell you it takes a heck of a lot more than a few days of hard freeze up here before anybody even thinks about going out on the ice. I would not even think about it.

Ummm.....You don't.lol my cousin did that once and it wasn't frozen near enough and he fell through the ice in the middle of the pond. It ain't near cold enough in Texas for that.

Contrary to popular belief 30 degrees ain't cold.
