    First Backstrap on the Grill

All of my life we have chicken fried backstrap, I have tried it grilled a few times but always seemed overcooked. I purchased a pellet grill which has made me feel like the best cook in the world so I figured I'd give a backstrap a try. Seared on both sides and put it in smoker for an hour or so @225. Pulled it at 130 and let it sit 10 minutes or so. IT was FABULOUS!

Tried Posting Pictures, but no luck!

Good deal, glad it was good. I never chicken fry backstrap anymore, I always marinate it and cook on the grill like a steak

Been pan searing mine this year, 3 minutes a side comes out perfect.

Just wait until you try it as jerky

I like to reverse sear mine....put it in at 175ish, take off at 100 internal temp. Heat up smoker to hot as you’d like (I usually go 450) then put meat back in and cook until 126ish internal temp.
