Super combo license

Is it possible to get a super combo license now and it be good for the fall? If not, when can you get it?

But it won't go into effect till Sept 1. Hunting license are good for Sept 1 thru Aug 31 of each year, correct?

Why would someone want a super combo now? There are no open seasons going on now anyways.

I was told by GW (ain’t checked book) that of example:

You buy a 2021 license on say August 18th of 2020 and go axis hunting the next day, you are covered.

License you buy on 8/15 will be good until 8/31 following year

Why would someone want a super combo now? There are no open seasons going on now anyways.

I don’t currently have a fishing or hunting license. I got on a lease so I will need a hunting license. I also plan to go fishing soon- likely both saltwater and freshwater.

It was my understanding to shoot a hog you need a basic hunting license?- I’ve seen this debated on here in the past but I rather be covered.

In years past I would just buy the super combo to be covered on everything.

Is my logic wrong?

Based on the comments I need to wait until after August 15th though.

I have a buddy that wanted a fishing license and when he got one he decided to go ahead and get a hunting license. He doesn't hunt much but owns 8,000 acres and thought he may do a little. He ended up buying a super combo not knowing the hunting portion will expire before deer season but the fishing part lasts a year.
