Reid did not get the athletic gene (much like me). I remember playing against him in junior high basketball on the B Team.

NR is a hero of mine, especially growing up in Brazoria Co.
Class act all around.
I met him a couple times and used to have a baseball he signed for me. It was stolen during a house burglary year ago.
Kid who works for me is named after him,

I have my tickets to see it in theatre on May 24 with my oldest son. My daughter's middle name is Ryan after him. He's my only baseball hero. Can't wait!

Has anyone ever seen the documentary “Fastball”? It is a great watch while waiting for this one to come out.
Nolan’s pitch count averages alone are extraordinary. Guarantee you he would not allow himself to be pulled in the eighth with a perfect game on the line.

took my kiddo and a good portion of his 11U select team to see it last night and it was outstanding. Theatre was pretty full by the end with a good blend of young kids and old timers that were probably in their 40's when he broke into the majors. Lots of great messages and the crowd applauded at the end.

Yes! Greatly enjoyed it! Saw kids from 5 years old, up to 75+. Grandpas taking their sons, and grandkids to watch a the show on a legend. Crowd cheered when whipped Ventura, and they cut to a page that said Ventura declined to be interviewed haha.

I was clearing customs in Calgary coming back to the states in 2001. When the customs agent saw on my Declaration papers that I was from Alvin Texas he started quizzing me on the big “ picture” from there. The German dialect had me confused and he asked 3 times about the big “picture” before I realized he was asking about Nolan Ryan the pitcher. Yes your right about larger than life when you are in another country and they recognize his hometown.

lol we had 3 dads searching last night at baseball practice and nobody can find any info on when or where it will be.
