Last year my brother and I went up for the first time. Did a backpack OTC elk archery hunt. Serious learning experience. Thought we were prepared and for the most part we were but there's a lot of things you just have to see and experience firsthand. Our train of thought was we were just going to go on a very expensive 10 day hiking/camping trip and bringing our bows along. My only goal was to hear an elk bugle during the trip and it happened on the 1st night at 3:34am. How do I know it was 3:34am? I was up all night with altitude sickness. Only elk we heard. Never saw one except for some on private land at 6,500' on our way out of Colorado. Can't wait to go back again this year.

Wyoming will have some leftover licenses, usually cow licenses. List will be out in June and leftover draw takes no PPs, random draw for all.
