Happy Independence Day Shooters!
I believe this is the hump week of the year where we are, or thereabouts, on the back side of the year….
And its still snake season.

Join or Die
Draw or print Mr Ben Franklins revolutionary snake cartoon “Join
Or Die” on a sheet of paper. There are 8 snake sections.
Two shots per day.
4 days to shoot.
Day 1 adults shoot from 7 yards, 5 yards for kids.
Day 2 adults shoot from 8 yards, 6 yards for kids.
Day 3 adults shoot from 9 yards, 7 yards for kids.
Day 4 adults shoot from 10 yards, 8 yards for kids.
Score 1 point per section hit.
2 point maximum per day.
Total of 8 points for entire week.
Highest score at the end of week wins.

Fight the division of our republic.

Only one point can be scored per struck section. Two shot strikes on one section still only counts as one point. Goal is to strike all sections.

So…for both of us…we struck the head which is now no longer open for scoring.

Both my shots were line riders. I figured Id better get the small sections before walking back further and they get smaller. Well, that back fired when I hit VA inadvertently not NC. I was gonna save VA for 10 yards.

My old man tells a story of me as a toddler face to face with a copperhead on a boat at a lake. I dont remember.
I like the rat snakes in my warehouse because theyre hunting mice, though it scares the women folk. Rat snakes in the chicken hutch are egg suckers and die an immediate death. Love Hate.

I ask the women to identify friend or foe before dispatching snakes…which ID never happens and ground check is standard procedure.

Jr4 almost got on target but balked shooting for playing with a boisdarc stick….maybe I should put a string on that.
