Scouting this weekend. My spots from last year show very little sign. Found this in the morning. Doubt he would of made 13" even if he lived.

I’ve seen deer but little sign so far. Anyone else seeing a bunch of rubs yet or is it too early?

The only rules that really matter while hunting hagerman is to hunt from dark to dark until you whack a good one, and post updates and photos often during the hunt so we can all follow along.

Also, Haaker will probably shoot the biggest deer out of SFA's spot.

Got out and walked the main trail of Big Mineral with the kids just to actually lay eyes on the place a month back.

Since then, taken two half days from work (last Tuesday and yesterday) to do some actual scouting. Walked until I couldn't walk anymore and still have only looked at one unit.

Really falling in love with the place....wildlife everywhere...saw 40 turkeys just yesterday.

I've seen deer and a few rubs as well...If I don't connect, it won't be from lack of trying

Myself and 4 buddies were able to make a few trips to scout last week and this week. We even went during the all day rains.
With all of our waypoints on the OnX maps it would make for a pretty good shotgun pattern! We have some great areas picked out. Extremely anxious and excited to see what next week will bring!
