          Didn't he stand in front of the camera,
          And declare the war in Viet Nam, was lost.

                  Always finished his broadcast with “and that’s the way it is”. I’m sure he and every other news reporter had an opinion and maybe even an agenda to some degree, but it was never to the extent is is these days.

                    You are exactly right. He's the one that got America against the VN war and brought the media to the frontlines so we would have it in our living rooms each night. Cronkite was a bum. Too many people remember him for that so it's too soon to rewrite his history.

                        I'm afraid those days are gone. I remember everyone was focused on living back then. Today with the younger generation convenience is the key to life. When shtf they will flounder like perch in a dried up riverbed.
