I can't figure out how to post a picture But the price for brisket in Anderson SC is $9.98 @ LB 8.43 LB one is $84.13!!!!

Hahahaha I'm just jacking with you Ducko. We have no issues getting tender steaks here at Krogers or Albertsons if they look right......but like I said there are some beet red ones I do avoid. If they don't look good I walk away. Never had any issues with what I consider a good looking steak.

HEB Lubbock had brisket at 2.97. They had big thick ribeyes in a 3 pack for 5.97 a lb. As noted above, there were some that were pretty meh mixed in with some that looked much better. I ended up getting 4 packages, one batch for this weekend and one batch for the freezer.

And a 50-55 mile haul from here. Albertsons and Kroger are both good for us as well, especially in the brisket, pork butt, and rib categories. No problems with either on ribeyes, T-bones, or strips either. Of course on all it helps to know what you are looking for. There are always some straight red steaks they try to run through on their sales with well marbled ones in the same packaging on the same sale. I think they try to slip a few retired dairy cows in the mix when they run these sales.. Driving through the Panhandle during dove season, we see plenty of dairy cows in the feedlots.

I'm making that drive once a week. Lol. Heck I drive that far 3 days a week for work.
