Default Man purse, shoulder bag or satchel

I stopped at the ice house in China Grove the other day to get me a cold drank. They was a feller came in there with a sweater wrapped around his neck and what I thought was a binocular case hanging from his shoulder. I thought it was odd for him to be dragging binoculars into the ice house and asked another dude why he brought his binoculars in here, he proceeded to tell me that is a shoulder bag and contains manly thangs. I told that feller I thought that's what britches is for.

When I was leaving I told the feller sporting that shoulder bag that is a nice shoulder bag and he said its a "Satchel not a shoulder bag". I wanted to say something to him, but I was feared he might get mad.

With the vehicle theft these days itís smart to carry anything valuable with you. I have carried a backpack for years that has my wallet, gun, IPad,flashlight etc in it. I wear scrubs everyday so there arenít any pockets for stuff. You can make fun of him if you want but he wonít be the one to walk outside to a popped lock and all his stuff stolen.

I thought they were called a purse.

The only acceptable bag for a man is a back pack, blind bag\ shooting bag or brief case of some type.

Yep it's a purse.. if it wont fit in a holster or in my pocket I don't need to carry it.. but I guess they can't put stuff in the pockets of their skinny jeans..

I see you mentioned he brought it into an ice house setting? I don’t stop at these any longer but back in the day when I did frequent them he would have been a mean sum biatch to wear that in one.

If that dude walked into an ice house....You sure you were in the right ice house?

Was there a skittles colored flag flying high in the parking lot?

Did anybody offer to push up your stool?

Did they have something on the menu called a Baloney Pony?

Was it on muddy dirt road?

Did you go in through the back door?

Just checkin' on you bro. I know how you get when the shine kicks in.

I dont recall him wearing that kind of footwear or them skinny legged britches, I was concentrating on the satchel and the exit door. Might not go in that ice house no more,

I have a little bag I keep in the truck. It could be worn like that but it is smaller and made of Cordura. I keep emergency blanket, flashlight, pen, hunt/fish license, pen, usb battery and an 18" square of duct tape. I have one a little larger with deluxe emergency blanket, water filter, compass, leatherman, and fire making equipment added.

I figure everything is good if it has duct tape in it or on it.

There's a sucker born every minute. But don't let it get to you cuz there's good young men out here. And honestly if an old timer was concerned about what I was doing I would think he's a busybody. I don't like dudes wearing purses but honestly it's not my business, it's their dad's fault and makes it easier for real young men to appear appealing to wholesome young ladies. A win win. The wheat from the chaff as they say

All you manly young guys might want to study your history. MEN have been using a similar type of bag for centuries. Possibles bags or other names. Soldiers used them at least up until WWII.
I use a back quiver or a plains quiver slung low across the back so no back pack for me. Mine carries compass, fire starting stuff, space blanket, small game lanyards, etc. And yes, a pistol too. It is all right by your side and easy to get to (not like a backpack). The OP was right in holding his tongue. Puffy eyes are hard to see through.

I pretty much have to wear a purse. At 46 with chronic respiratory failure Iím scripted to O2 24/7.

These cheap *** bags are just a means to stay moving for me. I can still beat most the people that mock a bag up the hill so itís all good.

I dang sure wonít drag some cheap *** bottle cart on my trails.
