I used to be a dealer and I could have sworn we had speedster kits

I think thats about the best one can do with out sewing the fabric to the contour of the seats.

That's NOT that bad at all....especially for a first run at it..... Re-upholstering is an art, a fine craft (like pretty much everything else regarding something that floats... 😉 ).... takes a LOT of time and patience, along with some knowledge, and quite a bit of trial and error/practice to get a true professional result... that's why the really good ones aren't cheap.....i think you're doing A-ok.... bit of adjusting and clean up it'll look fine....
