Well we are State Fair bound Monday morning for the Livestock Judging contest. We have a goat show here in Krum tomorrow.

We were going to try and go to the Heart of Texas Livestock Judging contest but decided that was too much in too few days.

Kids and I will be at the Heart of Texas Goat show next week. Thursday through Saturday. This will be the biggest show they have ever competed in by far. Looking forward to it.

My son is judging his first livestock competition today at the senior level at Waller county. He is a freshman this year. Last year he finished the season 22nd in the state in the junior division.

Well yesterday was an extremely long day at our jackpot show. Kids did really well and my daughter showed her hind end off. The goat was doing everything she asked for it to do. My son’s little goat and him showed good as well. Now today we rest/church and go to State Fair on Monday

Placed 8th out of 21 calves in our AOB class at the State Fair. Super proud of Talen. Not bad for his first Major Steer Show. It wasnít an easy goodbye as we have had Po since he was 3 months old.

Nice. Hope they had a good time. There were some really good sheep there. We try very hard to put on a good show here in Krum. Hope they enjoyed it and come back next year.

Well we went to another jackpot yesterday. Let’s just say it was an extremely long day. Left barn at 5am and got back at 8pm. Kids did fairly well. There were some awesome goats and sheep at the Peanut Classic in Gorman yesterday. Going to Decatur next weekend and Weatherford the next. Busy 3 weeks. Goat are looking good just need to keep working.

Son had a successful day in McKinney. We took three. Had class winning cross. York champion. Cross champion and grand overall with the cross. Not bad for an 85lb barrow.

We were at a jackpot today in Decatur. Kids did really well. My 9 year old son out showed his older sister today. Judge had great things to say regarding our goats

Twerpy cleaned up yesterday at the district show.

Second in her class, and first in showmanship.

Very proud of her

My kids are all gone and I miss being around the barn. This weekend I got to watch my oldest judge his first livestock show. He did a great job! It's nice to watch them grow up and help others.

Well that is pretty cool. Glad to see trying to do something a little different than buckles. I have seen some shows giving Yeti cups with a buckle on the side of them.

Not knocking buckles and my daughter is super proud of all the ones she won but you can only wear one at a time.

Itís been a great season. Twerpy and Mrs have hit several shows this year, Iíve made it to a few

It started off pretty rocky, took longer to develop her sheep than some of her competition. Heís really coming along good now.

FW stock show is next, then a couple jackpots in February, and the final county show in March. This season has gone by fast.

Hays County show is next Wed/Thurs. Steers are looking good. Rabbits are about where they should be.

75 broilers are coming Feb 8 for Austin. I've officially lost my ever-lovin' mind. My wife has no idea what were getting ready to go thru with the chickens.

We were stuck in Fort Worth last year leaving the open show because it was iced over on the Gulf Coast. It was still colder than a well diggers ***** in Fort Worth.

Talen had another great show in Henderson today. We bout froze to death and looked like a circus shuffling animals around between classes due to goats showing the same time as Beefmasterís. Worth it!!!

1st in class Beefmaster heifer
Reserve Champion Market Goat
Grand Champion Market Goat

Another buckle & $135.00

He has busted his butt with both goats and his heifer and itís paying off.

Well my daughter had a good day Livestock Judging at Fort Worth Stockshow today. The only thing I don’t like about this particular Judging is they don’t have a junior division. She finished 14th place overall. There was only 1 junior above her. Not bad to finish 14th out of 140 total participants.

Monday we go back to Fort Worth for Horse IQ.
