    Anyone drive a Chevrolet Volt?

I have been thinking about getting one (2018 or 2019) and wanted to see if anyone here has any experience using one as a commuter / daily driver.
    Thanks in advance.

I have a cousin who had a 19 as a commuter car and said it was total junk.

Chevy itself is junk but a volt is like a double whammy

I read something this morning about having to replace the batteries in 145,000 units due to a recall. Not sure the year range or any other details, but if going electric I'd look elsewhere. A Toyota Prius is about the most over engineered car there ever was and they last a very long time.

Chevrolet says " do not park in garage or within 10 feet of other cars"

They are catching fire and most owners want GM to buy them back.

Friends don't let friends drive crapboxes, especially ones that spontaneously combust.

Kinda like a Prius...l have heard they make great commuter cars but nobody wants to admit they drive one.

                Let alone like it.

"So you're telling me there's a chance" that it would be OK?

Go Prius. Way more R&D behind them. Johnny is right, just google fire and chevy volt.

Just get a Mazda or Toyota as a commuter. And not a stupid electric car. My Mazda 3 gets 38-40 mpg

The why is the 53 mile electric range. My regular commute is about 30 miles.

I could run almost completely on battery (getting the equivalent of about 100 mpg) but also make longer trips if needed.

I have been driving a Lexus CT200H (a Prius in Lexus clothes) for 2 years now and it gets 42-43 mpg so I think I will stick with it for now.

Thanks for the info and advice. FYI most of the issues seem to be related to the Bolt.
