Default Gulf storm?

I searched and didn’t see a thread. What do the TBH resident storm experts think of this? Seems to be getting some serious coverage.

The current track has it spending an extended time over southeast Texas. I hope we don’t get another Harvey/Imelda, where a tropical storm/depression sits over us for days dropping insane amounts of water. We got 43 inches of rain in 28 hours at my house during Imelda.

Well dang it - we are supposed to head to Galveston Wednesday for a family get together. If they end up catching 20”+ of rain it may not be worth the drive. We’ll see…

5-7” expected here near Port O’Connor.

We’ve gotten 1” since yesterday. Raining off and on since it started.

Glad I got the yard mowed Saturday.
Filling up fuel cans and getting generator ready.

Good luck to all of y’all.

Space City Weather now calling for possibly 20” in a triangle from Corpus to Austin to Beaumont. Possibly reaching Cat 1 before landfall.

To be fair they also said they believe MOST areas will get considerably less than that.

Im jumping in the jeep and heading south right into it tomorrow morning ...we already got $10-20,000 invested in a weeklong coastal hunting and fishing trip. No turning back. I did pack Stratego and Yeti In My Spaghetti in the instance we are unable to hunt or fish.

I just heard the track shifted more to the west overnight which doesn't bode well for the Houston area. spacecityweather just upgraded this to a Stage 3 event on the flood scale. Examples are 2016 Memorial Weekend floods, April 2009 west Houston floods, and TS Imelda.
I'd love to see some of resident weather experts chime in. I don't even like regurgitating information I read because I sound foolish.

I don’t know how bad / good this storm will be ? But in the 1990’s TP&W if you drew a alligator permit the hunt wouldn’t be called off,, 9/11/1998 Frances dropped 15 inch on us during the hunt , rainbow bridge was closed restaurant’s closed, ect , hopefully this one spares us major damage
