    Cactus killing experiment

Just a little heads up for anyone that might be wondering what will kill cactus other than expensive chemicals. I bought a lot of 12% bleach from a pool supply company to do a job a while back. After the job I had 8 gallons left. One day I decided to see if it would kill cactus because I have a lot of it. Anyway this is the result. Not diluted and applied from a pump sprayer. These results came about a month and a half after application but I just took the pictures today……many months later.

Have you tried undiluted vinegar? It works on everything here except bermuda grass.

Looks like a good kill. Surmount takes up to a year for the plant to completely die. Hope it got the roots and not just the top killed. Time will tell.
