Default Wagyu brisket

Just got done cooking my first wagyu brisket, and i have to say its the best one i have ever tasted. The meat just melts, the point is so soft u dont even have to chew it. I guess the 140 bucks was well worth it.

A buddy of mine gets his from HEB. They are from Snake River Farms. I've never cooked one, but he sure thinks they are well worth the money.

Same. To me it just doesn't have that beefy flavor like a prime CAB

I have a choice Angus brisket on the smoker now. It had a good price for us up here, $2.96 / lb.
Never tried wagyu, we tend to like leaner meats though. I'm thinking as a brisket it would be pretty awesome.

I'm throwing a little red oak in the firebox today, with some pecan wood.

I have a Costco prime brisket finishing up on the smoker. $2.59/lb. havenít found any better at a comparable price.

Same here. Itís good meat, but itís certainly not 300%+ better than regular choice or prime brisket.

The big difference is texture, not flavor.

Smoked a 14# akaushi brisket for Easter... came out amazing. Iíd say if you donít cook my them all of the time then the extra couple bucks a pound is worth it. Melt in your mouth good.

I picked up a couple of these last time I was there. When Kroger is $2.49/lb for choice itís a no brained. Couldnít spend the money on brangus or ďAmerican wayguĒ this time
