I saw a video today from practice- Mond was throwing the ball on play action and tossed it up like he was throwing to his grandma.

No urgency, no zip, any Jr high QB could have thrown the same trajectory 20 yard pass to the sideline.

I also don't know why nobody has challenged him for the job, maybe Jimbo is keeping his powder dry with Calzada - King may show us something too.

Some credit for Mond's problems last year has to go to the o-line, they weren't lighting the world on fire.

I just hope the tripple option we saw in the bowl game combined with the new speed the team hasn't had from players like Achane and returning RBs Spiller and Smith can make some headway this year. Need to make long slow drives that score 7 so the other team doesn't get the ball and the D gets a break.

Funny how y'all all know more than the 75 million guaranteed greatest Saban disciple ever coach.

My take.

Mond seems at his best when he plays uptempo, but that is not what Jimbo wants for his offense. I think when Jimbo slows it down, Mond gets into his own head and struggles. I think a different system could utilize his skill set better. I still stand by what I said about him in high school, his accuracy was always going to struggle. I donít see the NFL is an option because of the accuracy issues.

I don't need to re-read ****. Lol. Apparently you do. Stfu and let your 75 million dollar coach do his job. If he goes with Mond then he is obviously the best option at this time. Saying otherwise implies you know more than him, which you don't.

You havn't been paying attention. Your implication that he's the best option just because Jimbo is still going with him, proves it. Save that **** for someone else.

What will have changed in the 2nd quarter of game 2 when Jimbo pulls him for King because he's throw 3 pics? Nothing other than Jimbo having validation to bench his Sr QB. This is all just saving face and coddling for the sake of current events, recruiting, and folks feelings. Save your bull****, you're wrong.

Stick to hockey. Homeboy.

How can I be wrong? The season hasn't even started. Mond could be a Heisman finalist and the Aggies could be in the playoff.

What makes you think I don't know it?

None of us knew what Burrow was going to do or that LSU would run through the playoff either.

Maybe JF is going to give Mond a qtr or 2 and then decide. Could be political and maybe not...We donít know what goes on behind closed doors. Iíd hope itís not coddling for what you stated above as Iím having a hard enough time deciding if Iím going to watch 1 game this year.

As for you bob... crawl back in your shed and have another! Next time you think you have an option, stfu and go away Karen!

He went from Juco to D2 and now to Texas. I have no idea his skill set, but tells me he kept working and climbed the ladder. It is crazy we are 16 days away from Texas playing.

We have college football on this Saturday with Austin Peay and Central Arkansas. I will be locked in and cheering on the Governors of Austin P!

Come on bro! Do you even Texags? We got Demas and much better options that can high jump the cross bar on the goal posts! Drink some maroon koolaid before hopping back on here with that kind of negativity.

We have some serious team speed this year on offense, albeit they are young. It's about time too.

Demas, Lane, Hez Jones, are 4.4-4.5 speed type guys at WR, and Achane at RB / Slot.

Ainias Smith (RB) is a poor mans Jaylen Waddle whose now playing RB so IDK who to compare to at that position, and Baylor Cupp (TE) can really run.

I'm looking forward to watching Cupp and Wydemyer - they have a lot of talent.

We were able to lock down tickets for 3 of the Baylor games this season. They would only allow us to buy 6 per game so we are going to wait and see if they increase the capacity and then get more as we see fit. I'm disappointed as we attend nearly every home game and a few away games each year but I guess it is better than nothing. My kids are the ones who will miss out on a "normal" season but we will make the most of it!

Have tickets for: OkSt, TCU and K-St thus far.

I just read the Baltimore Ravens are now making demands. What a disaster that the NFL will put up with this. I sure hope College Football doesnít come around with more demands.

The NFL was hanging on by a thread in my books as I spent so many hours invested in College Sports. It may be time to turn the page on the NFL.
