I enjoy taking pics of lots of different things. I'm an armature at best, but manage to snag a good pic now and then.
My backyard supplies many targets as seasons change. Earlier this spring, I was standing out back when something caught my eye. A closer look revealed a tree rat and its sibling in a hole in the trunk.


This evening I was outside and I noticed something else in the same spot. With the light from the setting sun, I thought this was an interesting pic of the same hole the squirrels nested in some months ago.

Nice! The other day, my son (3 yo) and I were playing in the backyard. Then I heard a squirrel barking at something across the alley. So, I started barking back. Next thing I knew there was one p***ed off squirrel, barking, on the roof across the way. My son got a kick out of watching and listening to our noise, back and forth.

I had some nesting dove for several years. They provided some great daily photo ops.

we had doves raise in our hanging baskets all summer. 3 broods.

Great pictures. That squirrel would make a great" first shot every body" picture also !

A new tenant has taken over the hole. To date, I've photographed squirrels, lizards, a mushroom and bees in that hole. Hopefully this latest one will provide some good pics in the near future.
I have a sharp-shinned hawk nesting in an oak in the front yard. I need a better lens to get some good pics soon.
