Absolute Best Baitcast Reel

Which is it?

Assume there is no impact on your own pocketbook. What is the absolute, no argument, best baitcast reel today?

Will never be used around saltwater. Only fishing with in Missouri reservoirs, lakes, and The Ozarks.

Only target is throwing for trophy largemouth.

If I only had to pick one, it would be Shimano.
As to the model, depends on what you're going to be doing with it.
All around, throwing everything for bass, Anteras A.
Is it that much better than a Lews, Abu, etc..for the money, not really.

As stated above. Way too many variables here. Shimano is the only way to go though. Plenty of choices for your style of fishing.

I mean… a Zebco keeps on cranking! That reel has probably caught as many fish as the .30-30 has shot deer!
