Really dry in Hall County. I’m not seeing a lot of whitetail activity right now. But I am seeing a lot of mule deer mainly early morning. I’m going back up this weekend.

It is dry as a popcorn fart here in Collingsworth. Lots of rain and growth early, then rain shut off. Lots of really dry fuel ready to burn. High temps, irrigation wells starting to suck air some places. Be careful out there.

Dang, I though there was still some consistent moisture dropping.

Texas Tech has weather stations all over Panhandle. Look on right of page you can see recorded rainfall by month.

Checking in for 2019. Thanks for.getting this going! Should be a.good year in Hemphill Co. Plenty of.rain and food so far. Cool front blew through last night and currently sitting at 83 degrees.

Not sure if I'm gonna throw corn this year. We have a feedlot close by and the deer spend their nights in the feed barn chowing down.

              Hearing more quail, fwiw.

Can't wait to see them from the stand!

2019 is looking very promising, my wife took her first deer off this property last year. Other then that no bucks have been harvested since 2015 due to management strategies. Implementing food plots, protein and patience to get these deer to a mature age class and the their true potential. September 28th can't get here soon enough!!! Best of luck to everyone this season, looking forward to this thread and everyone's success stories.

                        Great bucks, 2125.

Happy to report 2" of rain in Samnorwood this weekend.

Bucks finishing well compared to last months pics.

I thought the pastures looked good for August.
Fewer fawns on camera than I'd hoped.

                        Here's the same bucks from 2017, 2018 and 2019.

We have got several little rains, and then one nice rain since I posted last. Temps have come down some, things are looking and feeling lots better. The next week or so should be pretty nice, temps going to drop down some more. "Hopefully" the worst of the hot/dry is over. Fixing to be September, and we always get some moisture then.

Things are looking good out there Clark. Y'all should have a good season.

I’m seeing more whitetail buck activity than usual on my cameras. Lots of mature buck pics at both day and night pics. Still seeing a lot of mule deer early mornings. They are bedded down in the bar ditches close to the cotton. No mule deer on camera though
