Kevin and I have had a lot of close calls, but I could never seal the deal. I’ve either had axis stacked in front of each other, or couldn’t get the gun up fast enough, or was just plain outsmarted. Today, this brute made a hefty mistake. He presented the shot, Kevin ranged him at 406 yards and told me he had faith I could do it. It took a short time for me to get my breathing steady...slight touch of the trigger and he didn’t do anything but lay right there. Then...the shaking commenced! We walked to him and I can say he was bigger than I thought!
