2019 Panhandle Hunting Thread (7th Annual!)

Saw a shooter buck yesterday but never got an opportunity to take a shot. Seemed to be a decent amount of deer up and moving today.

I had this great 8 point with a 2 1/2 inch kicker come in on Tuesday evening. Ho only made it about 80 yards. He is my 2nd best bow buck to date.

I'm afraid all our target bucks have done R U N N O F T. Or got camera shy or something. Not much showing these days.

Circling back to Jethros earlier question, any thoughts on when pre-rut is? I was drawn for the Gene Howe gun hunt this year which is on the 2nd weekend of November. I'm thinking if conditions are right, might be a good time to rattle.

If you ever need a tracking dog in Panhandle, Jeff Bonner is your guy. One of our guys had call him last weekend. Would highly recommend Jeff and Annie. Annie amazed me with her skills.
