I’m needing a good fixed blade and been doing so research. Pretty much narrowed my selection down to 2.
Montana Knife Company Blackfoot 2.0 $300. https://www.montanaknifecompany.com/...lade-2-0-black
And
Knives of Alaska Elk Hunter $98. https://www.knivesofalaska.com/Store...black-suregrip
So my question is, is the MKC really worth triple the cost of the KoA?
For just under the price of the Blackfoot I could get the KoA lightweight folding Hunter, the Elk Hunter, AND the Cub Bear. But not knowing much about knives maybe there is something I’m not seeing about the MKC that does make it worth it???Last edited by ColinR; 05-15-2022, 04:58 PM.

I carried my Stonewall for the Texas Water Safari, and it got wet when we got to the bay. As such, some rust made an appearance, especially on the screws that hold the handle together but also on the blade. I reached out to their Instagram asking if I could get a few replacements (having no luck getting it off) and let them know I'd be fine paying for them.
Instead, they said it was an honor I'd carry that knife on an event like that and to just send it in. No cost, they'd have it good as new. I sent it in, and it was back on my doorstep within 7 days of mailing in like new shape. Pretty shocking turnaround, and I can't say enough good stuff about these people and their product. Only problem is finding one!
