Is the speedo correct? All that noise for 39 MPH can't be right.

We installed the gauges without reading the directions. Need to pull it back out and swith some wires to make it accurate. She was definitely moving faster then 39.

Didn't you have a bet on the dyno numbers, with someone?
Do you have those results yet?

Yes sir. I burnt up the torque converter and my fuel pressure was dropping 7-9 psi at full throttle during first dyno session. Have all that fixed now and ready to go back and see what she does.

Good deal, looking forward to updates!

Is the tach off too? 6k seemed about right, assuming it's a pushrod.

Very nice dude. Might need more weight in the back or wider tires with all that power. lol

I did a frame off rebuild of a 64 F100 flareside about 10 years ago doing similar things as you. Moved fuel tank to bed, wake the dead exhaust(not as much horses as you), couldn't wait to test drive even if the bed is off, gave the wife increased heart rate, etc.

Sure was a great feeling when it was all done. Really bummed me out having to sell it. But life requires sacrifices sometimes.

                          Good work.

The tach is spot on sir. Truck shifts at 7k RPM
