Default Polaris or Can Am?

Which one? Reviews are mixed.....priced about the same, looking at the one that seats six
Thanks

I have a can am outlander and it’s a great machine. If I am ever in the market for a side by side the can am dealer will be my first stop.

Can Am in the big crews is about 5 inches longer and 2 inches wider. Better for a big guy like me. Other than that they are both good rigs.

Iíve owned Polaris rangers in the past, and currently own a Canam defender, I really like the Canam however, both are great machines.
Youíll be happy either way

I have 2 rangers, but I'd look at a canam for my next ride.
Happy with my rangers, but the canam is really looking nice and roomy
As far as the Mule FXT, when they can stop putting a kiddy bed on them, I'll pass. I sure wish they would put a decent size bed on them

My 2020 Ranger Crew 1000 has been in the shop 3 times in the last 14 months. Once to have the clutch shimmed, because evidently a factory defect necessitated a small shim...Warranty. Once to replace the entire clutch assembly which literally came apart just months after being shimmed.....Warranty. Last month to repair the busted belt....not warranty. My rig is not abused, just normal ranch work and it has been an absolute POS. I'd love to sell it....but I can't, with a good conscience, pawn this piece of crap off on another person. Buy a Can-Am.....or even a Mule....or nice Schwinn......or maybe even just choose to walk with corn stacked on your back.

I previously had a 2012 Ranger Crew that was a bulletproof rig. I never had a problem with it until somebody needed it more than me and stole it from my shop.

Kiddy bed huh? You mean the one that has steel bed instead of plastic on the POS Polaris? I havenít ran across any times where the bed wasnít big enough.

Man that’s like asking Ford or Chevy!

I have a 2016 Ranger 570 that has been bulletproof so far. This is my first side by side so I don’t have much experience with anything else. A couple of guys on my lease run Can Ams and like them. When it’s time to replace this one I will look hard at both.

If you go Polaris always buy two. One to use while the other is getting repaired.

I’ve got a Mule Pro FX, but I’ve been eyeballing the redesigned Can Am Commander. Maybe they’ll have more units at the dealerships in the near future.

Sure does seem like Polaris has a bad rap.

Buddy of mine has the Kawasaki Mule Pro-Fxt. He said its cheaper than Polaris and has a better warranty.

That particular model has a 2nd row seats that can collapse, which given you a larger cargo area when needed.

Not a ranger.

Have a can am and it's been a **** good machine so far I've had it a little over 2 years now I think. Curious to see if it holds up as well as my fxt did but only time will tell.

I have had both and the differences are huge when it comes to fit/finish/smoothness. Polaris is not even in the same league when it comes to those things.
Both capable? Absolutely, but CanAm is like riding in a Lexus and Polaris a Dodge.

Had a can am defender and loved that thing. Everything from the comfort of seats, suspension and tough as nails.
Now have mule ranch and like it, but not near as much as the can am.

Max and Boudreaux have eliminated all rats from the barn. Polaris was stolen from my company shop, not the house.

The repairs on my 2009 polaris are about to wear me out. I mean good lord!! I think I've spent just over one hundred dollars on one belt, some sensor and recently new bushings. Since I bought it.

Spent 3 days rolling a can am with power windows,ac and heat a few weeks ago. To be wider it sure didn't seem bigger inside. I wasn't overly impressed

Yea, the one that can't haul a bale of hay and a beer cooler at the same time. Yea that's the one. Have you seen one with a high rack in the back,, what a joke.Sorry to hurt your feelings.

But yea, until they put a real workable size bed, like the can am and the polaris, I'll pass . And for a plastic bed, they get it done. I've yet to see where the plastic beds couldn't handle the work load.

I am in that crowd. There are easily 20 times the number of rangers in the woods then pro fxt and defenders.
I like my can am over any of the other ones , I didnít have any issues other then self inflicted ones on any of them. I did get the red *** over the steering shaft issue on the mule pro though.

I bought a Polaris in 2009, kept it until I bought my Defender in 2019. No complaints with the Polaris but I like the CanAm better. The storage in it, the better dump bed, and the power steering. Yes, I know you can get power steering on a Polaris and the new ones probably have more storage, just saying what is.

I had a 2010 Polaris that served me well outside of expected repairs. My mechanic buddy that worked on my Polaris introduced me to the CanAm. After doing a little research that is the direction I went. I bought a HD 10 2020 Defender Max XT I think. I would have went with the Lone Star if my building was tall enough to store. Zero complaints after a year of use.

I have owned 4 polaris bikes and 2 polaris buggies and they were all solid. Last year I bought a Can am defender 1000 and haven't regretted it once.
