Default Gifting an Auto

We are giving my daughter one of our cars. Will we have to pay sales tax on the value the county assigns or is there some provision for situations where no money transfers?

I think you have to fill out a form from DPS and it has to be notarized.

These two forms filled out and the one notarized. Pay gift tax and all done.

Did it on a truck and camper. No hassle and a few bucks...
