Anyone watched this yet? I watched it last night and what a waste of time!

They slapped Tom Clancy's name on a generic action film and did not follow the book it's titled after.

I knew I should've turned it off when the leader of the SEAL team was a woman.

I've enjoyed the Jack Ryan series on Prime and had high hopes for this movie.

So what didn't you like about it? Just not following the book or?

Thought about watching it this week, but if it sucks that bad will pass...

I watched it this weekend as well and wasn't a big fan either. A little corny and it kind of just started then ended, no real meat on it I guess you could say. I did not read the book so I'm not sure if it followed it or not.

John Kelly being a SEAL and having a wife named Pam is the only thing they kept from the book as far as I can tell after reading the plot of the book.

Hard to believe they screwed up that bad turning a great book into a movie. I also liked Jack Ryan. Thanks for the heads up. I will skip this one as well.

Itís in my watch list. Knew it wasnít going to follow the book by looking at the trailer.

Agree the book was a great read, but in the woke hollywierd of today does this really surprise anyone that they fubar this one?

It’s really bad. The acting is freaking horrible. It’s not even recognizable from the book.

I’m also pretty sure that Gary Johnson was one of the directors. A water insertion, indoors, in Aleppo?

Did they “woke” it? Absolutely. But that’s the least of its problems.

I did not get the opening scene where they came up from the pool either. Other than that and a couple other moments I really enjoyed it. I thought there was plenty of suspense and good action throughout. I did not read the book.

Very disappointed to hear itís a flop. Book is easily one of my all time favorites. Had potential to be the greatest action movie ever if they followed the book.

Movie being so off I'm going to have to see if our local library has a copy available. Sounds like I'm missing out having not read it

I have enjoyed the two Jack Ryan series Amazon Prime created but I totally agree with the other comments about this one. 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Not even sure where to start on comments.....

Iím still, even now, shocked at how Hollywood can take something as full proof as that novel and completely screw it up. All they had to do was follow the **** book!

I guess I am going to have to start reading again. I read rainbow 6 and was hoping they would make a movie, but not now.

I like Chris Pratt, I think he will do a good job.

Wow, a buddy of mine said it was great and watched it twice. He signed up for Amazon Prime just to see the movie.

I got a feeling he doesn't read Tom Clancy, so maybe that is the difference.

I was expecting this to follow the book and kept waiting for it but never materialized. After the initial disappointment I tried to give the movie a chance but it was really bad. Tom Clancy would not be happy...

At least I'm not the only one mad about what they did to one of the best Clancy novels.

Did anyone see the post credits? Given the comments, it's not likely. Looks like they're going to ruin another of my favorite books...Rainbow Six. At the end, Clark meets Ritter and drops the Rainbow name. SMH

They ruined the Jack Reacher series too by casting itty bitty Tom Cruise for a character that's supposed to be 6'5" 250. Stupid Hollywood.

I’ll be 2nd odd man out. My business keeps me way to busy to read, especially novels, so I thought it was a pretty good action movie. Good story, kinda common with our Gov. screwing the good military men that sacrifice so much. Maybe I’ll try audiobook, but my phone goes off way to much for that, but I will try to see how disappointed I should be.

Never read the book, but watched the movie and it was aweful. There were gaping holes in the story. Like how did they get out of that, or what happened there. Huge holes. Then there was the 100 lb female SEAL team leader...

I canít remember if Iíve read the book, I read a lot of that genre and itís all jumbled in my head now. BUT...I figured the movie would suck anyway before watching it. My expectations were so low beforehand that I thought it wasnít a complete miss while watching. Why is it so hard to make a realistic military movie? Iím sure they can consult operators that could get them tight.

Are there any female seals? I know they opened the training to them, but I wonder if any are/were active.

Same Question I have?

Any Ladies..... I mean seal types lacking male parts?

I sat through the movie last night - wish I hadn't.
I guess this is where Hollywood is headed.
