Default Accidently killed my buck.

I nicknamed this buck Mr. Big Stuff because he was bigger than any other deer I have seen near here. He would stand and lick the feeder plate when he came around. I am always torn between shooting him and letting him walk, after many times under my tree and just couldn't do it and then when I decided to go ahead and take him, he jumped the string on me twice. He disappeared for the last month.
The wind was bad for my stand this evening so I went out to the deer shed I made for my wife to shoot her crossbow. I made her a chair today complete with deer hide and figured I should go make sure it was comfy for her. Maybe I would shoot a doe. Next thing I know this guy comes in so I grab the crossbow and open the window, he is standing 10 yds away and I just shot him and he ran 50 yds and stood there and then just kind of laid down nice and easy. I was excited to get him but really wanted to do it with my longbow if I did. Well, I can now just go have fun and chase hogs for a bit.

Nice! I'm sure you'll get an even bigger one with your longbow! Hoping I'll get something that great with the boomstick before season ends.

I accidently killed a couple deer this year. Then I accidently skinned and dressed them out. Then I accidently steaked out certain cuts and plan on accidently grinding 30 pounds of it and accidently adding beef back fat to it. I may accidently eat it all too.

JK, congrats on the buck.
