Let me start off by saying...the last time I shot a buck of any kind, I was 14 with a friend of my dad's, and we drove around until we saw a deer. Once we did, I shot a basket 7 off the tailgate of the pickup. Hardly felt like hunting.
Fast forward 22 years later and I've finally taken a deer I really had to work for. I've been bowhunting my FIL's ranch for the last 5 years, and this is the first year that we have taken a buck. He's no record breaker, but he's still pretty special to me!
