Got your attention. Are the no 1s just getting harder to find or is that just my opinion? Iíve been told watching for one for one for awhile now. Iím wanting a mint condition, donít care for scope , no 1 in 308.

Ruger still makes #1’s but only in limited production runs and only a few calibers

Depends. I have a 25-06 heavy barrel that is a legitimate 1Ē gun at 100 yd. I have to load for it though, no factory load has ever been that good.

I was looking for a Browning BAR in 243 for my kiddos and it was hard to find. I found a new No. 1V in 243 and snagged it up.

Have you worked anything up for it yet? Curious how well it shoots. Regret not getting the last one they had.

Just got around to shooting it today. It shot Winchester 100 grain pretty good. Iíd say 1.5Ē. I didnít tape it as these were the first 10 shots from this rifle. I also got some loads from a friend with 105 grain Speer soft points that it shot really good. Last 2 shots were touching. I wish I couldíve sent more down range but I was running out of time. Hope those last 2 werenít a fluke and the barrel finally got broke in. Guess Iíll have to wait til next time.

Did somebody say not super accurate? Mine is in .270 caliber , I’ve had it 20 years and have nailed tons of hogs and deer with it. Yes, missed a few, but very few. I’ll never sell it.

I have many rifles but my #1 270 and M77 30-06 are my go toís. Tack drivers all day everyday with shelf loads. Nothing but Leupoldís on top. Iíll never let mine go. And both are pushing 50 years old! Love my Rugerís!

Had a K1-B in 243 that didnít shoot worth anything. But also had a K1-B in 300 win that was a great rifle.

I used to have a #1 Tropical in .375 H&H. Probably should have kept it. Lot of fun to shoot with 300gr bullets
I think a TBH member has it now.

I don't know about the new ones but every red pad No. 1 I have been around was very accurate. I always wanted a 220 Swift in No. 1V but have not found the one I like with the real pretty wood.

I personally have never had one but I know three guys that have gotten rid of the ones they had because of accuracy issues.

I ended up with a 270 today. Still have my heart set on a 308, maybe I’ll just have both before long.
