Freestone County Land

Looking for some input from those on the GS with some knowledge of Freestone County, specifically the area SE of Fairfield maybe 10-15 miles as the crow flies. Not familiar at all with this area or county and whether or not I should contemplate purchasing property in this neck of the woods. Don’t want to have to be losing sleep worried about poachers and MH’s. TIA!

What county road you looking at?

I would find out the size of the neighbors and possibly try and talk to them. If there are sketchy properties on the road I would pass.

What are you wanting info on?

Yes there are methheads and poachers around there. But that’s pretty much common everywhere these days.

We have properties up the road (north) on the south side of RC
You will need to be a little more specific on what area
We have friends that have property 15 miles down the road and have had issues with break ins and theft over the years and we have never had a problem

Can’t really help you on the poachers aspect, but I did just buy a place in the area that Blake had listed and it was a smooth transaction.

That’s refreshing to hear. I’ve made a couple of offers on different properties in another county and I’ll have to admit I was pretty shocked at the low level of ethics demonstrated by the listing agents.

Two of my best friends grew up on that county road. I grew up southwest of Fairfield on the Old Teague Road.

Nice area and we never had any issues. Good deer in the area
